Canal Grande Treasure
A wonderful private residence managed by FAI, The National Trust for Italy,
facing the Basilica della Salute.
Canal Grande Treasure is a typical bourgeois house in a fifteenth-century palazzo, Ca’ Contarini, that displays the art collection assembled by its donors, the Bortoli couple. Silver, paintings, textiles, furnishing and artworks collections give that taste of Venetian Eighteenth century and books, photos and clothes tell the marriage story giving life to the whole house. The view from the salon is breathtaking: the palace overlooks directly the Grand Canal and the Basilica of Santa Maria della Salute.
Salons, dining rooms and portego are ideal to host gala dinners and refined events: the Grand Canal view gives charm and lure to any kind of date.
