PALAZZO SMITH
Venice

Overlooking the Grand Canal, just a few steps from the Rialto Bridge, Palazzo Smith is the new Casa di Art Events, a place where art and creativity come together in an environment of extraordinary beauty.

Space

The only palace in Venice with a neoclassical imprint, it was renovated in the 18th century by architect Antonio Visentini at the request of British consul Joseph Smith, a patron and agent of Canaletto. Throughout its history, it has housed invaluable works of art, including the famous sculpture Amore e Psiche by Antonio Canova.
A charming courtyard leads to the palace’s inner court, adorned with an ancient wellhead and the traditional Venetian paving. The main noble floor, spanning over 380 square meters, preserves luxurious neoclassical interiors: spacious rooms alternate between stuccoes, frescoed walls, precious marbles, and period chandeliers. Every corner is enriched with unique details that reflect the deep Venetian soul of this magical place.
