Space

The Misericordia is a dream in Venetians’ memory, a place that evokes ancient and future ideals.
The construction of the Scuola Grande della Misericordia was assigned to the great Renaissance architect Jacopo Sansovino and lasted twelve years.
The room on the ground floor is divided into three naves by twin Corinthian columns, while the first floor opens on a vast hall – the second biggest in the historical center after Doge’s Palace – decorated by frescoes from the school of Paolo Veronese.
The Scuola Grande della Misericordia was recently restored. Its history is now projected to the future, its frescoes brought to their original majesty in order to make its spaces functional and adaptable to many types of events. The majestic areas and the wide surfaces (2000 sqm) make the historical building suitable for arrange the largest shows in Venice, up to 1000 guests.
