Art Events and Fortuny Venezia Sign the Christmas Tree of Palazzo Smith
Venice, December 2025 — Art Events is pleased to present the new Christmas Tree installed in the spaces of Casa Art Events – Palazzo Smith, a special project signed by illustrator and designer Jacopo Ascari, created in collaboration with Fortuny Venezia, a world-renowned excellence in textile art.
Standing over three meters tall, the installation is conceived as a tribute to the most authentic Venice, “the oldest city of the future,” and comes to life within the scenic setting of Palazzo Smith, overlooking the Grand Canal. A monumental work that brings together art, craftsmanship, and contemporary vision, fully reflecting the identity of Art Events.
The tree is composed of over 200 handcrafted bows, made by Venetian seamstresses using Fortuny’s precious fabrics, along with a series of original hand-illustrated decorations by Jacopo Ascari, each inspired by the extraordinary venues featured in the Art Events portfolio. At the base, more than fifty gift boxes, all hand-illustrated by the artist, transform the installation into a true visual narrative, rich in detail, architectural references, and Venetian atmospheres.
This collaboration represents the meeting of three excellences: the curatorial vision of Art Events, the artistic and artisanal heritage of Fortuny Venezia, and the refined, imaginative signature of Jacopo Ascari, one of the most distinguished voices of the new Italian illustration scene.
With this project, Casa Art Events – Palazzo Smith confirms itself as a vibrant space for experimentation and dialogue, where history and contemporaneity intertwine to create unique cultural experiences. A place of connection, capable of welcoming ideas, projects, and talents, and restoring the palace to its role as a landmark for art and creativity in Venice.
The Art Events Christmas Tree thus becomes not only a symbol of the festive season, but a monument to creativity, craftsmanship, and the Venetian spirit, celebrated through a visual narrative that looks to the future without forgetting its history.
